who

Today I was working on a new site, about FOOD (food.getvital.info)

During my research I ran across a series of guest posts at Green Options. One of contributors was one of our own!

I saw that everybody had this big digg button at the top of their article and everyone but our friend seemed to have a number greater than zero. So I read his post and submitted in to Digg and I "dugg" it. Join me why don't you. :)

The link above is to the Digg submission. If the doesn't work for oyou I can go and find the post and get its URL and then come back over here to post THAT URL. In which case, YOu can just go to the original post and click on the big Digg button.

You know I bet this kind of social voting might help our friend get invited to do more posts there and elsewhere which in turn will lead to more people getting to read his articles and then possibly check out his site, too.

Check out the article. If you like it "Digg" it and heck why not "Stumble" it too. It's all good.

This is first time I have (or anyone else has)posted to this forum. So I hope this works out.

I have no idea if what I am suggesting is within or outside of the terms of service. It just seems to me that cooperation, mutual aid and friendliness are good things.

What say you?

Sure - I appreciate it.

I also find reddit is a good way to promote sites.

I've been stumbling a lot of green sites as well. It helps promote these ideas which is great.

I blog at 21st-century-citizen.com [21st-century-citizen.com]
thanks

That's great! I stumbled it too.
I write green articles for Hub pages..as well as haivng a personal blog about the restoration of our 100 year old house, which we are trying to do with sustainable and reclaimed building materials and hopefully eventually go completely off grid with solar, and have a rainwater collection system for water.

it is great that there are so many sites encouraging people to be 'green' - but i wish that there was some way to get into the part of the population who thinks it is still fringy. my involvement goes back to the 60's and my entire life has centered around sustainable living. and i have had a pretty good life! still folks want, want, want. more stuff, stuff, stuff. i take their castoffs, and end up with too much stuff. i long for the day that people care for their stuff that they made, or put a lot of thought into getting. i guess this is off-topic, pardon. air dry your clothes, and your dishes. thanks for all the links. apronstrings that sounds great. i have my ancestral home which cries out for restoration. did you hear about the unbuilding in new orleans, instead of tearing down. not surprising to me, but seemed to be to npr....wiserearth.org [wiserearth.org] seems interesting- paul hawken started it.

OK, it is Dugged (Digged?) and Stumbled. The point about preaching to the choir is valid. It requires a lot of creativity to reach new populations. I believe that is why Live Earth had so much focus on music and fun. It could be criticized for being light on information, but others pointed out that goal may have been simply to get some attention from the 90% of the world that still does not care or know much (my estimated number).
